Covergirl Launches New Campaign to Give Consumers a Chance to Make a Difference!

On January 5th 2010, Covergirl, the nation's leader in the cosmetic industry, launched its "Clean Makeup for Clean Water" campaign to help provide clean water to deprived children worldwide. They are partnering with Children's Safe Drinking Water (CSDW) program and have donated half a million dollars toward the cause. "Cover Girl's generous donation will provide 50 million liters of clean water to children in need around the world".

Cover girl spokesmodels Queen Latifah and Dania Ramirez kicked off the campaign as they announced Covergirl's partnership with CSDW at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverley Hills, CA. Dania, a Dominican Republic native, took it a step further as she traveled with Covergirl to deliver clean water to the children back home.

Covergirl has also implemented a contest in support of CSDW. It allows the public to get involved by documenting their own stories of how they give back to make the world a better place and why that makes them beautiful inside and out. Every video entry received will provide a weeks worth of clean drinking water to a child in need.

Beauty is unquestionably a core focus in the fashion industry and Covergirl has focused on an imporant point "beauty inside and out". This beauty digs below the surface to health in the physical aspect and a good heart in terms of character. So make a promise this season to take care of yourself and have a motive to serve others!
