BET Awards 2009

Lets get it started - The Red Carpet at the BET Awards was HOTTTTT!!!!!

Not because of its L.A. location but for the simple fact that the stars did not hold back on the fashion and glam. There was something for everyone. And I mean everyone.

The women were in it to win it...

Taraji P. gave us a Sexy Back

While Alicia Keys let the plunge go deep and the hem go up

Ciara and Keri Hilson gave us body for days

Melody Thorton lets it all hang out

Ray J

Tyrese

Diddy

On to the show my favorite moments:

New Edition kicked off the show and spinned to the sounds of The Jackson Five.

Watch out Weird Al, Jamie Foxx entertained us all with several costume changes and dance routines in Honor of the King of Pop, Rock and Soul

Jay Z rocked the mic and stage with his new hit single D.O.A.

Beyonce sings a beautiful Ave Maria

Ne-Yo and Jamie sing a beautiful duet together in honor of Michael

Janet Jackson surprises the audience by coming out to say a few short and sweet words to the audience. This was a tough job and she stood up to the task beautifully.

In my opinion, Ne-Yo won Jackson fans over with his Lady In My Life tribute. His voice was angelic and very Michaelesque. Didn't know he had that in him.

Thanks to BET for a wonderful tribute to someone I have loved all my life. It truly was a celebration and appreciation of the life of an icon. For three hours I was smiling and laughin for the first since I heard the tragic news on Thursday. I want to say simply Thank you for helping start my healing process.

MICHAEL

As many of you know Michael Jackson is a huge influence on my fashions. Over 10 years ago I named my clothing line ' Michael Joseph Designs' in honor of MJ - His music has given me inspiration as I create designs. My entire life I have admired his work and his legacy will live on with me forever. To one of the loves of my life
