"Old Hollywood Glamour"


The Metropolitan Museum of Art opened its newest exhibit at the Costume Institute in New York. This exhibit entitle "American Woman: Fashioning a National Identity" was premiered during the Metropolitan Opera's annual benefit gala where a cartel of celebrities demonstrated their own expression of "Old Hollywood Glamour".

Andrew Bolton, curator of "American Woman", explored a legacy of a strong American fashion identity spanning from the 1890's to the 1930's. These decadal fashion modes include "Gibson Girl", "Bohemian", "Flapper", and "Screen Siren."
