Front Row Status

If you love the fashion world then you must be dying to know what it takes to sit in the front row of high profile runway show like fashion week NY, Milan or London! Well, let's think about who we typically see gracing the front row...

These fashion shows are planned out from top to bottom including the guest list. Front row status requires an INVITATION and even with the invitations there is still a V.I.P. section for fashion powerhouses like Anna Wintour. The red tape is thick and the rules are strict: Invitation only, no transferring or reselling of invitations, and possibly an I.D. check!

Here's the breakdown for a typical high profile fashion week runway show:

Front row: Fashion editors and directors, celebrities, socialites, influential bloggers and writers

Middle Rows: Magazine editors, merchandisers, retailers, boutique buyers

Last row: B-list bloggers and writers, employees, guests of designers (friends family)

* photographers and press of course have a special up-front location crammed into a pit of some sort to capture the extravaganza!

So if you do not fall into these category what does that mean for you? Let's just say it's almost if not impossible, for you to gain front row status. The reason it is so hard to pass through the red tape of status is the same principle in any aspect of life: politics!

You might not be able to gain front row status, but I never said you couldn't attend. If you can afford it, you can buy your way in! Fashion week packages range from $100 to $3,000. Although you might put a kink in your neck straining to see the runway, at least you were there!
